Reading - A bond with the greatest minds...
Library forms an essential component in an educational institutions. To encourage the reading habits and to widen the knowledge of the students we an maintaining a well stocked library. Other than library books , a good collection of reference books journals ,periodicals, magazines and newspaper enrich the library for the ready reference of the students. These resources are accessible for the children and teachers.
From standard III – XI ,children are allotted one library hour per week to make use of the library resources. To provide the students opportunities in getting in touch with the day to day information and happenings around we an conducting ‘ Newspaper Quiz ‘ daily . Two questions are put up on the notice board. A box is provided for the students to drop in their answers .The correct answer and the name of the winner is announced in the assembly the next day.
To make ,technology viable, we are using ‘Koha’ software in our library .To promote the use of books among children, Book Exhibitions an conducted in the school premises by publishers and book sellers, where the students are able to purchase books of their choice.
Our library is being managed by Smt Jinumol .K. Joy who is a post Graduate in Library and Information Science. The library is open from 7.40 am to 2.50 pm on all working days.
